Orange Creamsicle Truffles

Ingredients

• 1 cup White Chocolate Melting Chips
• ¼ cup Unsalted Butter
• Zest from 1 large Orange
• 3 tbsp Heavy Cream
• ½ tsp Orange Extract
• A few drops Orange Food Colouring
• ½ cup Powdered Sugar — for coating

Method

1. Prep: Place white chocolate melting chips in a medium bowl and set aside.
2. Infuse: In a saucepan over medium heat, combine butter and orange zest. Cook for 1 minute, then pour in the heavy cream and stir continuously to prevent scalding. Stir for 2 more minutes.
3. Pour & melt: Pour the mixture through a fine strainer directly over the white chocolate chips. Let sit for 1 minute to melt.
4. Colour & whisk: Add orange extract and a few drops of orange food colouring. Whisk until smooth and glossy. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 1–2 hours.
5. Roll & coat: Scoop tablespoon-sized portions, roll into smooth balls, then coat each truffle generously in powdered sugar.
6. Set & serve: Place on a parchment-lined sheet and refrigerate until ready to serve. Store chilled.

• Gluten-free & vegetarian.
• Very similar method to the Creamy Lemon Truffles — could make both batches side by side for a citrus truffle platter.
